Sy Garte
Sy (Seymour) Garte, PhD in biochemistry, is the author of the award-winning book The Works of His Hands: A Scientist’s Journey from Atheism to Faith (Kregel Publications, 2019). He has been a tenured professor at New York University, Rutgers University, and the University of Pittsburgh, division director at the Center for Scientific Review of the National Institutes of Health, and interim vice president for research at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He is currently visiting professor of pharmacology and toxicology at Rutgers University.
Currently, Dr. Garte serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the American Scientific Affiliation’s (ASA) online quarterly magazine God and Nature, and also as vice president for the Washington, DC, metro chapter of the ASA.
